This happy golden gets his name from a sparkling white wine.  This was a commissioned painting and a the first giclee was a gift for the then president of St. Louis University, Father Biondi.  "Gancia" was his dog.

The original oil was later sold out of the Hayes Fine Arts Gallery to a St. Louis Couple who owned one of Gancia's pups.
